Hi, Our culture in the U.S. seem to be content with mediocrity these days. Seems that the more successful you are, the more jealousy and resentment you deal with from others. For example, if you are an awesome worker, co-workers get jealous and try to shame you into performing at their mediocre level. If you have the self-discipline to eat right and build a decent physique, people ridicule your eating habits or take some other cheap shot. There are numerous threads on this forum alone where people are given for their dedication to bodybuilding. If you have something that you worked hard for that somebody else doesn't have, it's more of the same. The jealousy not only comes from co-workers but also from friends and even family. Instead of doing what they can to improves themselves, they'd rather get negative and knock others' down. Are any of you around people like this? How do you keep yourself from being dragged down to their level? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
